John Shea, received a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Newcastle, Australia. To broaden his knowledge in the area of business and management he completed his MBA course at the University of St. Gallen in 2006.

He has successfully worked in various roles from business analyst to system architect, and his know-how and skills have been applied across multiple industries from Education to Finance. The focus of his work has primarily been the application of systems and models to the solving of business problems, where the integration of IT and client knowledge bases was very important.

In 2003 John began entrepreneurial career by founding an Internet start-up in Sydney, which was successful in the acquisition of large clients and achieving those clients' marketing goals. He came to Switzerland in 2005 and then completed his MBA HSG. In February 2007 he joined Bank Sarasin & Cie AG in Zürich in the role of Quantitative Analyst and System Architect.
